The film explores several themes such as the significance of urban governance in promoting health and well-being, the value of community participation and local dialogue, and multisectoral collaboration to address the social challenges arising from urbanization. Its objectives are to: 1. highlight the crucial role of participative urban governance in fostering health and well-being with concrete city examples; and 2. illustrate innovative approaches and solutions addressing health and well-being challenges in urban settings, while inspiring the audience about the benefits of strengthening community ties and cohesion through collaborative problem-solving and fostering a sense of belonging among residents. Messages: 1. Health promotion actions at the urban and local level plays a vital role in achieving the SDGs and promoting health equity for all residents. 2. With the right conditions and mechanisms in place, local solutions can be identified to address local problems and health and well-being fostered without incurring high costs. 3. Participative platforms promote accountability, civic competencies, trust, and social connection, empowering communities to shape their environment and create inclusive, sustainable, and resilient cities.
