UN-Habitat Better Cities Film Festival @WUF10

The World Urban Forum is one of the most inclusive global forums that operates as an open-ended think tank for collaboration and awareness of urban issues. The tenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF10) will carry the theme Cities of Opportunities: Connecting Culture and Innovation. This means that for the first time, culture, creativity and innovation will be at the center of the global conversation in regard to human settlements.

The “Urban Cinema” has been a key feature of the World Urban forum since 2014 when it featured at WUF7 as a showcase of films to inspire the development sphere in light of the global agenda

UN-Habitat has partnered with First+Mains films (Insert hyperlink (  to bring the UN-Habitat Better Cities Film Festival @WUF10,. The festival will present three days of special screenings from February 10-12th as part of the Tenth Session of the World Urban Forum. The festival will exhibit the best films from around the world, all focused on the theme of making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

The UN-Habitat Better Cities Film Festival @WUF10 will establish a community of urban story telling allies to keep the idea of better cities at the forefront of visual media as well as on people’s minds. Film submissions are now open until the closing deadline of Jan., 31, 2020.  Films can be of any length or genre, as long as the story or subject matter is relevant to the festival theme. Filmmakers can submit their work for consideration at the official website:  Top films will be honored with awards at the World Urban Forum, as judged by a panel of internationally esteemed urbanists and filmmakers.
