Aliza Ayaz wanted to do was make a positive impact happen, this simple thought sparked an idea. The idea led to the creation of Climate Action Society (CAS), a nonprofit student organisation that revolutionised the Climate Action dialogue.
Aliza's strength and boldness is shown not only through CAS' history but her own personal journey in life which shaped who she is today, a remarkable woman. After establishing herself as a formidable Social Enterprise executive at the UCL Business Society, her decision to develop CAS was driven by her passion for health and the environment. Her risk has certainly paid off, with more than 7000+ subscribers in CAS' first three months. Aliza led various public-private sector partnerships to partner with local authorities and international corporates to implement climate resilience strategies.
CAS educates, advocates and acts for climate-change resolution across multiple campuses and cities, making climate action more engaging, applicable and affordable. After driving fossil fuel divestments at UCL, University of Cambridge and King's College London, she currently advises the UK Parliament on environmental policies as a student representative. Yet to graduate from university, Aliza is at the forefront of mobilising the youth for social impact projects.
