The Urban Expo promotes innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges facing cities and communities from the perspectives of national and sub-national governments, Non-Governmental Organizations, United Nations agencies, the private sector, international organizations, academia and other stakeholders

A public exposition based on the theme Cities of Opportunities: Connecting Culture and Innovation will feature for the duration of the Forum. The Urban Expo promotes innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges facing cities and communities from the perspectives of national and sub-national governments, Non-Governmental Organizations, United Nations agencies, the private sector, international organizations, academia and other stakeholders.

 

THE EXPO WILL FEATURE

  • Country and city pavilions showcasing innovative and sustainable projects, initiatives and partnerships that are contributing to implementation of the New Urban Agenda and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • United Nations agencies and international organizations featuring more inclusive and sustainable building, planning and reconstruction initiatives.
  • The private sector showcasing frontier technologies and other cutting-edge solutions to challenges of rapid urbanization.
  • Academic institutions presenting the latest urban trends and knowledge products.
  • Non-Governmental Organizations promoting inclusive approaches to sustainable urbanization.
  • Urban Library for book launches.
  • Urban Cinema screening short urban films.

 

WHY PARTICIPATE?

  • To showcase ongoing initiatives and share experiences on implementation of the New Urban Agenda and the urban dimensions of the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • To share innovative projects, best practices and initiatives which illustrate the Cities of Opportunities: Connecting Culture and Innovation theme of WUF10.
