Drazen KucanLead Urban and Energy Efficiency Specialist Green Climate Fund
Dražen leads the global urban development and energy efficiency sector at Division Mitigation and Adaptation (DMA) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). He is responsible for a sector portfolio valued at just over USD 2 billion. His work focuses on technical reviews of concept notes and funding proposals throughout the GCF project and review cycle. He also focuses on delivering strategic pipeline development with a strong emphasis on green and resilient cities globally, while contributing to broad policy deliberations at international forums on cities and climate change. He addresses challenges related to scaling up climate finance and transformative transactions.
Drazen manages the GCF portfolio of over 30 projects at different stages of development, funding considerations and implementation, and is actively engaged in conceptual work and community of practice on de-risking structures and transformative interventions in the global urban and energy efficiency context at the GCF.
