Fiona (Farha) Kirubi has experience in wealth and portfolio management including asset allocation, investment consulting and insurance advisory. Based on Gateway’s growing Africa practice. She is active with Gateway’s Conversion Factory, Digital Strategy & Fintech, Gender Equity & Inclusivity, Real Estate, and Social Responsibility & Impact practices. Fiona leads tailored training in Islamic banking in both East Africa and Asia as well as leadership and professional development. She brings her versatile experience and empathy to offer clients a deep and global outlook in their business decisions. As a serial entrepreneur, she launched several companies and is listed in the Women in FinTech Powerlist 2017. She is the chairperson for Muslim Women Tech, an NGO based in Malaysia, and currently sits on the board of two charity foundations, Stara Rescue Center and Talent Foundation International in Kenya. Fiona earned her MBA from Harvard University and an M.A. in Islamic finance from INCEIF, in addition to her B.B.A. from American University in Dubai, and a B.A. in finance and management from Richmond University- UK.
