Joyati Das Senior Visiting Fellow Child and Youth Rights Expert Connected Cities Lab University of Melbourne Australia
Ms. Joyati Das is a senior international development professional, thought leader and human rights advocate specializing in child rights in diverse urban contexts. She is the senior visiting fellow at the Connected Cities Lab, University of Melbourne.
Joyati holds post-graduate degrees in sociology and communications and has more than 20 years’ experience in international development, humanitarian response and advocacy initiatives with large non-governmental organisations. She was a strong advocate for young people’s inclusion, voice, and representation at Habitat III.
Joyati is the Director of Healthy Cities for Adolescents Program which includes grassroots action projects across several secondary cities in the world. She is also a co-lead on Melbourne University’s Evidence to Action Framework project. Both these global initiatives are supported by Fondation Botnar based in Switzerland.
