Khaldoun Hajaj Head, Public Affairs & Sustainability, Africa and Middle East Standard Chartered
Prior to this appointment, Khaldoun was chief of staff and board secretary at Safanad Global Investments. From 2011 to 2015 he headed government affairs for Africa, Middle East and Turkey regions at the Dow Chemical Company. He has 15 years of Australian public policy and advocacy experience including five years as an advisor in the parliament of Australia and seven years as financial services, sustainability, and consumer protection researcher at one of Australia’s leading law schools. He was a leading lobbyist in the over USD 2 trillion Australian pension fund system as part of numerous climate change reporting initiatives.
Khaldoun holds degrees in law and political economy from the University of Sydney and UNSW.
