A CIMA qualified accountant, I have acquired about 20 years of international experience in finance including financial accounting, investment appraisal, and analysis. A multilingual professional, I can operate in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
‘’As a Financial Consultant, I help corporations and individual clients create financial plans which are suitable to their strategic objectives. My services include in-depth market and competition analysis with a view to identifying investment opportunities for business as well as a social enterprise. Having set up and managed a business advisory company, I have frontline experience of the challenges which start-ups face when identifying their core activity and trying to raise capital. I cover African markets, particularly in Portuguese and French-speaking countries. I recently led a market research analysis into the energy sector for a France-based company. I regularly participate in panel discussions and make public presentations on investing in Africa.
Prior to being involved in social enterprise and investment, I worked as Director: Finance and Administration for a microfinance bank where I managed a team of 15 people. I also spent about 8 years working in a number of financial roles with companies such as British Telecom, RBS and JP Morgan, where I focused on accounting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. I am experienced in investment appraisal and valuation as I created financial models for a boutique consulting firm that provides valuation services to corporate clients.
I have a keen interest in education and the Arts hence my past involvement with The Beanstalk charity as a reading helper and The Lewisham Toy Library. Currently, I provide financial advice to Art Fix. As a result of my varied work experience, I have developed strong skills in coaching and building relationship with non-finance stakeholders.
