Renata has over 18 years of experience working with international development for the United Nations, IUCN, and the International Institute for Sustainable Development. She led policy support to countries, during the Millennium Development Goals, and now with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with the development of practical tools for SDG implementation.
Her work focuses on multidimensional poverty and inequality in urban areas, supporting development planning at national and local levels. Most recently, she led the development of and launch of UNDP’s Ocean Innovation Challenge aimed at scaling up solutions to ocean problems. The first Challenge is focused on ocean pollution from plastics and nutrients.
