Mr. Vladimir Bataev is an expert in smart and circular deeptech urban solutions – applications of novel technology in urban environments. He focuses on tight integration of transport, energy and urban infrastructure with the help of technology, and by facilitating strong collaboration between municipalities, urban designers, architects, and technologists. His emphasizes particularly on building urban innovation ecosystems with the help of start-ups and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).  

He has collaborated on various smart city and urban innovation projects with municipalities, architecture, urban design and construction companies as well as innovation accelerators. He has worked in a number of countries including Belarus, Finland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Romania, Rwanda, Russia, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

As a principal consultant at Zaz Ventures Vladimir has raised funding for over 45 prominent innovative European start-ups and SMEs providing solutions in IoT, AI, transport, logistics, energy, cleantech and biotech, and other domains.

He is an advisor to the Smart Cities Asia programme in Malaysia, Future Cities Summit in Hong Kong and Minsk Urban Platform in Belarus, among others.
