Summary

This training introduces a new global course which has been developed by the G20 Global Land Initiative/UNCCD, the U.N. University and University partners, notably Ain Shams University, Egypt. The transdisciplinary course: “Trigger change! Innovative urban land restoration” has been developed as a modular course for University students of urban planning or related programs at any University or non-profit training institution worldwide, promoting a systems approach to innovation in land restorat

Objectives

The training session has three main learning outcomes:
1. Learn about the course: “Trigger change! Innovative urban land restoration” and how participants can access the course material;
2. Learn new “serious learning games” related to systems-thinking and interconnectivity in urban land restoration and ecopreneurship
3. Network with professors and practitioners in the field of urban land restoration and start-ups.
