This training event will explore the ethical and regulatory complexities and challenges involved in the integration of AI and surveillance technologies into urban planning within regions subject to military observation and control, using the West Bank in Palestine as a case study. The focus will be on human-centric methodologies, the impact on civilian populations, and the imperative requirement for establishing an international regulatory framework.
Participants will develop a comprehensive understanding, employing a human-centric approach, of the potential risks and impacts that AI and surveillance technologies pose to civilian populations in military-observed urban cities. This interactive training session will encourage participants to contribute their insights and expertise to formulate actionable recommendations for ensuring the ethical implementation of AI and surveillance in urban environments under military observation.
