Cities for Future

The event brings together urban leaders and representatives of strategic planning divisions of major global cities that developed strategic urban plans, interfaces and creative hubs that enable inclusive co-thinking for the future of their cities. The participants will discuss their future visions and their creative and innovative approaches for their respective city. Participants will share their own local experience through a global lens, introduce their reference points and particular perspectives, and express their priorities for a better future. The planners will also share their experience regarding how they ensure that every resident is granted the right to take part in the decision-making processes for city-related issues. -The event will be 1 hour and 30 minutes long -There will be an introduction by the moderator for 5 minutes. -Each participant will talk for about 12 minutes. -There will be a Question & Answer session for 25 minutes * WUF11 will probably be the first international event, when the Vision 2050 plan of Istanbul will be shared with international audiences, and this will bring a special importance and public/press interest to the event. *The speakers and the moderator will be diversified to include representatives from creative and innovative hubs that enable co-thinking at the city level.
