This event focuses on how to promote gender equality and women's empowerment in post-conflict. It aims at designing a process that makes full use of women’s skills, their great capital of knowledge, their active protagonism, demonstrated in the phases of the humanitarian emergency, and their creativity to build resilient cities capable of recovering from the devastating impacts of war. If actual space is given to the needs, voices and abilities of women in building the future of cities, not only the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda and the NUA can materialize, but also the New European Bauhaus Initiative (NEB) that connects the European Green Deal to our daily life and living spaces, inviting all Europeans "to imagine and build together a sustainable and inclusive future that is beautiful for our eyes, our minds and our souls ". Conflicts destroy entire territories, buildings, and human lives, tearing apart the social fabric of communities. In the aftermath of war, however, there may be an opportunity for profound change. The refugee crisis is a crisis of women, and this is also true in Ukraine. Since the start of the war, women and girls make up about 90% of the more than 5.9 million refugees. The women, active agents of the survival of their communities, must not be neglected in the peace negotiations and in the post conflict phases. Instead, the value of women's skills and their different thinking regarding ways of living and designing cities and territories, their innovative practices aimed at sustainability, resilience, and equity, must be recognized. In this way, we will be able to avoid building new houses in which no one wants to live, and planning new neighborhoods that do not respect the identities of place and are not suited to the needs of their inhabitants
