Thematic block: Affordable Housing

Description of the session: This session plans to gather European housing experts to discuss similarities and differences in housing policies across different European regions: Western, Southern, Central and Eastern Europe. Furthermore, an emphasis will be made on particular challenges present in Central and Eastern Europe, and will include aspects such as the increasing impact of intergenerational transfers, and tenure insecurity caused by market distortions. The objective is to discuss common obstacles to housing affordability, and debate some good practices to share solutions and learn from each other, also dwelling on regional differences in affordability.
