Summary

Free of charge, practical workshop lasting three hours, delivered in groups of 20-30 on-site and 20 on-line participants. Recommended for: international organisations, government institutions, local governments, universities, researchers, think-tanks, NGOs. The aim of the workshop is to present the challenges of introducing drones into urban mobility. Through various forms of engagement and the use of interactive tools, i-participants will not only receive important information, but will also be able to address issues of opportunities and threats, preferences and, above all, set boundary conditions for the acceptance of modern urban development technologies and the motto of the 11th session of the World Urban Forum: "Changing our cities for a better future".

Objectives

- receive knowledge on tools for introducing drones into cities in line with the SUMP. - obtain knowledge on legal conditions and tools for cities to participate in the co-management of space over cities. - develop examples, methods and tools for communication about modern technologies in cities on the example of drones. The workshop aims to familiarize the participants with innovative tools, instruments and methods for problem solving/proactive urban development towards leveraging their third (aerial) dimension for UAV services. It is intended that participants, including officials, city emergency management service personnel and NGO representatives will: - receive knowledge on tools for introducing drones into cities in line with the SUMP. - obtain knowledge on legal conditions and tools for cities to participate in the co-management of space over cities. - develop examples, methods and tools for communication about modern technologies in cities on the example of drones. - gain knowledge about the directions of services planned within the UAM - work out the conditions of acceptance of particular drone services (e.g. medical transport, cargo transport, monitoring).
