This informative session will feature Black and Brown women who are working collectively to advance racial equity as an approach to governance at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Panelists will discuss HUD’s strategic initiatives focused on addressing systemic inequity perpetuated by past policies, and righting historical wrongs. The panel will explore ways the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development is working to actualize its mission to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all.
The session will highlight how the United States addressed housing during the COVID-19 pandemic and how the U.S. is striving to build an equitable way forward to plan for future pandemics.
