Preparation of neighborhood Risk Mitigation Plan against Natural Hazards” is to make local management capable of understanding and identifying hazards and their consequences, and mitigate them with their local capacities. The main advantage of this plan is to involve target groups, especially local stakeholders like NGOs and local DRR organizations. On a larger scale, this initiative is in line with the first and second priorities of the "Sendai Framework " and ultimately will lead to achieving SDGs. This project was implemented in four phases: Phase 1: Team Organization - Organization of scientific and executive group Phase 2: Development of hazard assessment tool and protocol - Hazard analysis - Prioritizing the hazards - Definition of the scenarios (considering secondary hazards) Phase 3: Testing and Validation of the assessment tool and protocol - Reliability check - Ability to run - Data gathering, analysis and reporting - Preparation of neighborhood Risk Mitigation Plan Phase 4: Pilot Execution - Holding a workshop with target groups (NGOs, Key persons, local DRRORG, TDMMO Representatives) to explain the tool and protocol - Preparation pilot plans The initiative in this project is evolutionary which uses local people and originations to plan inclusive DRR and improve public participation and community-based disaster management.
