Summary

This session will delve into the transformative potential of digital technologies in revolutionizing transportation systems, with a focus on active mobility and public transport. Participants will explore how digitalization can improve access to cities, integrate various modes through technology, and enable data-driven decision-making. We will cover subnational frameworks, stakeholder roles, and common bottlenecks, such as capacity gaps in data collection and usage. Through case studies and discussions, we will explore the challenges and opportunities for digitalization within the transport ecosystem. We will also unpack how leveraging digital technologies can support climate action, enhance efficiency, and advance gender equity goals in urban mobility. The primary audience of this training are transport officials, civil society and other stakeholders of the transport sector.
