Summary

The proposed event aims to highlight the Green Cities Action Plans, focusing on the various cases from different contexts (Sample of 6th October City in Egypt). It will be organized by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) which collaborated with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The event will showcase the declaration of the Green Cities Initiative in Egypt and the national strategy for green urbanism. It will serve as a platform to promote these initiatives and engage a diverse audience to discuss and provide feedback from various perspectives, paving the way for the second phase of implementation.

Objectives

* Present the Green Cities Initiative in Egypt and the national strategy for green urbanism, with a focus on the case of 6th October City.

* Showcase the progress made in implementing green initiatives in 6th October City, highlighting success stories, challenges, and lessons learned.

* Foster dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders, including government representatives, urban planners, environmental experts, investors, and community members.

* Gather diverse perspectives and feedback on the Green Cities Action Plans, encouraging an interactive discussion on how to enhance their effectiveness and impact.

* Facilitate networking opportunities and partnerships between local and international organizations interested in supporting sustainable urban development in Egypt.
