Creating Enabling Environment for the Localization of National Urban Policy through Effective and Inclusive Multilateralism
Summary
The event aims to share knowledge and experience from partners of the Korea-funded National Urban Policy Programme (NUPP) Phase 2 experiences and engagement with local governments. It will support peer learning between the eight participating countries, the Government of the Republic of Korea, and most importantly, government officials, international partners, policy makers, and practitioners who can benefit from the lessons and inform valuable experiences.
Objectives
1. To share knowledge and experience of the Korea-funded National Urban Policy Programme through NUP experiences
2. To provide an opportunity for face-to-face collaboration among government, representatives, UN-Habitat's NUPP team, the Government of Korea, and other partners
3. To enhance the capacity of participants, including the country representatives and international partners, policy makers, and practitioners
4. To provide the opportunity to exchange the knowledge and experience around the world in the areas of national urban policy and people-centered smart cities approach
