Summary

The training focuses on enhancing participants' understanding of de-risking instruments and innovative financing options for sustainable infrastructure projects. Participants will explore project risk management, de-risking mechanisms, and potential role of land value capture (LVC) in green infrastructure financing models. Through discussions and an interactive exercise, participants will develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance financial viability, to ensure long-term project success.

Objectives

- Equip participants with knowledge about risk management, financial risk identification, and key de-risking instruments to build investor confidence.
- Present LVC as a financing mechanism for green infrastructure, serving as both a de-risking instrument and a resilience enhancer.
- Provide strategies for engaging the private sector to secure investments, improving long-term financial sustainability.
- Facilitate the development of actionable business models that incorporate de-risking mechanisms.
