Summary

Based on concrete experiences and exchange, we provide participants with practical knowledge on sustainable and affordable technologies, strategies, and mechanisms for addressing inadequate housing safety and livability, as well as social and economic implications that incremental housing construction brings. Practitioners in housing policy, consulting, finance, and construction benefit, ultimately promoting social inclusion and reducing inequality to aid vulnerable global communities.

Objectives

1.How to introduce and implement innovative, sustainable, green and affordable technologies, construction systems, products, and technical services for incremental housing, based on market-oriented models.
2.How to develop effective strategies to improve access to finance for incremental housing investments, and implement policies to increase public investments.
3.How to integrate solutions into a model for global replication, with the regards of the elements that should be localized.
