Summary

Join an international and multidisciplinary interactive workshop that will progress the practice of collaborative community building. Explore case studies presented from five continents with architects, national funders, and other local team members that have significantly advanced the SDGs on a local level. Share your own successes and challenges. Finally, critically discuss the best path to future practices and policies that will increase the number of localities that achieve SDGs.

Objectives

Participants will gain:
• A peer network
• Expanded knowledge of successful local strategies for achieving SDGs
• Understanding of the connection between policy and achievement in comprehensive community development
• Knowledge of building teams that include health care, education, environment, housing and safety professionals.
Discussion will illuminate local and regional differences in culture, climate and context on just development.
