Summary

The session explores how multicultural creative clusters have formed in the CIS and other countries, taking on the role of bridges between different cultural, social, and economic groups in the urban environment, fostering social inclusion, cultural exchange, and cross-sector partnership. Based on conducted research (Creative Clusters Atlas), which defined the criteria for clusters' impact on the city, as well as case studies from CIS and other cities, the session will examine how such clusters influence social cohesion, economic development, and the cultural diversity of CIS and other cities. Speakers at the session will present both existing creative clusters and research reflecting various perspectives (NGOs, business, and government) on the role of clusters in shaping the city's cultural, political, and economic environment based on partnership.

Objectives

The outcome of the session will be acquainting participants with methods of organizing and managing creative clusters, aimed at forming a multicultural and partnership environment in the city, which allows for improving the quality of life, cross-sector trust, and well-being. Participants will also be introduced to case studies and research on the impact of creative clusters in the CIS and other countries and will receive answers to several questions:
• How do multicultural creative clusters strengthen social inclusion and foster mutual understanding among different groups?
• How do clusters stimulate cultural and economic development by attracting investments and tourists?
• How do clusters contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage and the development of new forms of cultural expression?
• How do clusters form new partnership connections within and beyond their boundaries?
Participants will also have the opportunity to personally meet with the managers of active creative clusters in the CIS and other countries and form new partnership links.
