Summary

It is widely acknowledged that what cannot be measured cannot be improved. Therefore, institutes, laboratories, or centers dedicated to the study and analysis of cities, which enable the collection of information and the communication of the current situation, along with its challenges and issues, are crucial for the design and implementation of public policies and the development of urban projects. This is especially crucial in cities of the global south, where generating valid and reliable data accessible to all is necessary, thus democratizing access to information.
This event aims to give voice to some of these spaces from the global south dedicated to the study of territory, which over a decade have accompanied communities adapting themselves through time, in order to contribute to the discussion about cities to drive positive transformations.

Objectives

- Share and exchange methodologies developed within each entity.
