Data4HumanRights provides open-source training materials designed for the resource settings of community data collectors. We will showcase the training curriculum and provide insights into our key principles (i.e. inclusiveness, adaptive, limited resources, gender-sensitive). From our 28 modules, we will select 3 to demonstrate methods and tools that are useful to human rights work, e.g., documenting evictions, performing rapid need assessments after crises, and monitoring community indicators.
After the training, the participants will be able to:
- Understand the impact potential of data in community advocacy and local actions, as well as the tools available to data collectors in resource-constrained settings.
- Access and pick training units of their interest from the D4HR training curriculum and implement training units (after becoming familiar with the topics).
- Implement the showcased training units in resource-constrained settings such as those of community data collectors.
