Summary

Through a facilitated discussion in a workshop format, participants will collectively explore and learn about implementation strategies and measures for transforming policy and practice in different regional contexts. The event aims to develop adapted transformative roadmaps to transition from current practices to the built and urban environment scenario envisioned for 2030, with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achieved. Beneficiaries include experts from various fields connected to the Built Environment.

Objectives

The participants will develop an understanding (a scenario) of what the built and urban environment would be like if the UN SDGs were met in their world region in 2030.
Learning objectives:
- Rethink approaches to processes and methods concerning buildings and urban development.
- Identify and respond to barriers and successes of strategic change related to the implementation of the SDGs in the built environment.
- Encourage cities and local communities to develop Voluntary Local Reviews of SDG progress
