Summary

The training will present human-centered urban tools starting from the Participatory & Inclusive Land Readjustment tool (PILaR) for city & neighborhood level that adapts the traditional tool of land readjustment to developing country contexts by emphasizing participation and then zooming in on to the street level to achieve human-centered urban streets. A real-life case study from Qena City will be illustrated where participants will get to work on one of its streets in a hands-on session.

Objectives

1- Land readjustment diagnosis (GO OR NO GO): participants will be able to identify whether land readjustment tool is suitable or not for their project/intervention
2- Land Readjustment Synthetization phase
3- Implementation Phases and steps of Land Readjustment
4- To link between theory and practice of designing human-based streets within a local context.
5- To foster an interactive dialogue between various stakeholders.
