Such tools include, online dashboard that cities can use to review their data and increase consensus-building across departments, a Sustainable Development Goal Tracker which allows cities to monitor progress in the SDGs, a data trendline tool which tracks a cities development and projects through the impact on its data. Each of these tools will be showcased on an interactive screen where users can explore the different tools and the value derived from them. The Exhibit will also be used to inform cities and towns about the importance of increasing data availability and data collection at the local level.
CitiIQ will utilize an exhibition space to showcase the value of digital tools that cities can use to drive localized SDG solutions and undertake inclusive development. Part of putting people first in a digital age means having sufficient knowledge and data to capture the lived realities of citizens. Data should be a mechanism to inform citizens, and to help improve their wellbeing. With proper tools, such as the measurement framework and SDG progress tracker that CitiIQ uses, we can help cities implement and monitor their own solutions.
