French Network of Urban Planning Agencies - French Partnership for Cities and Territories

French pavilion - What are the new compass for 2050

The French Pavilion aims to be a flagship for French, European and French-speaker stakeholders and partners during the exhibition period of the WUF. As a flagship, it will present, share and enrich French expertise, welcoming European and international pairs and partners. It will be headed and animated by the French Partnership for Cities and Territories (PFVT).
It will be the mirror of the French contribution to the New Urban Agenda and UN-Habitat’s work. The members of PFVT and international experts, and youth, worked together in groups on challenging issues (adaptation, health, housing, planetary boundaries, territorial cooperation) under a common methodology: to outline roadmaps as desired trajectories for cities and territories, proposing actions, tools, concrete examples, and recommendations, linking the WUF’s theme. The work will be presented on the pavilion and also shared in events in the WUF program.
The French Pavilion will be organized in four areas for French delegation and as a welcoming area for all delegations and stakeholders. One area of library and work to promote our deliverables and delegation, one for events will enable to hold roundtables, debat sessions and pitchs, one closed for meetings and one area for rest and informal meetings.
As this pavilion is one of the only French-speaking pavilions, it is often a meeting point for stakeholders from the French-speaking African continent. The pavilion will be a key area for African stakeholders and cooperation at the WUF.
