Georgia Tech will share its successes in SDG achievement encompassing innovative research, instruction and development and management of its campus. The Institute Strategic Plan has prioritized SDG achievement since 2020 leading to a detailed roadmap, Sustainability Next: Georgia Tech’s Sustainability Plan (2023-2030). This exhibit will highlight key accomplishments and ongoing projects including:
• the Generation II Reinvented Toilet (G2RT) which neutralizes waste without need of water supply or sewage system connection intended for deployment in developing countries (https://g2rt.research.gatech.edu/);
• the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems (BBISS) which facilitates interdisciplinary development of solutions to sustainability challenges (https://research.gatech.edu/sustainability) ;
• the Master of Science in Global Development degree program which prepares professionals for practice in low- and middle-income country settings through interdisciplinary training (https://globaldev.gatech.edu/) ;
• the Serve-Learn-Sustain initiative which seeks to equip all Georgia Tech students with skills to address sustainability challenges in their professions and lives (https://serve-learn-sustain.gatech.edu/);
• the Sustainable Cities Minor which provides students with integration of classroom and real-world, community-based project experiences focused on the built urban environment (https://planning.gatech.edu/minor-sustainable-cities);
• the Kendeda Living Building, the first building in the U.S.A. southern states to earn Living Building Certification (https://livingbuilding.gatech.edu/); and
