Groupe BC2
This booth will invite participants to explore the work and distinctive approach of BC2 and its Inter-Nation Collaboration Team regarding planning and design projects in unique cultural and environmental contexts. Throughout all projects, Inter-Nation Collaboration leverages its knowledge and understanding of local and regional issues and challenges. At the core of the Team’s approach is the consideration and valuing of the knowledge, needs, and aspirations of local communities. BC2 and its partners have been selected to host the panel “Home Away from Home, in Displacement and Beyond: Governance, Housing Patterns, and the Loss of Identity and Sense of Belonging for the Most Vulnerable” at the Twelfth World Urban Forum. To complement this panel, the firm will propose an interactive visual and sound experience within a tent structure, a contemporary expression of a cultural tradition. In this space, participants will be able to learn about Inter-Nation Collaboration’s projects and this Team’s overall approach, dedicated to preserving cultural identities and fostering a strong sense of place. This approach is rooted in the three Inter-Nation Collaboration core values: Culture, Land, and Local Economy.
The booth will feature projections of BC2’s projects, demonstrating the Inter-Nation Collaboration core values and highlighting the methods adopted to translate these values into actions that empower local communities and strengthen their sense of belonging.
