Habitat for Humanity
Our exhibition will showcase the extensive and innovative projects from our global network, highlighting our community-driven, innovative solutions that address inadequate housing and our adaptability approach to the effects of climate change. The exhibition will display the diversity of tailored solutions available and demonstrate how improved housing conditions lead to better health, education, and economic outcomes.
Habitat will also use this opportunity to showcase the progress we have made toward our commitment to the New Urban Agenda (NUA), which has resulted in the development of our Home Equals campaign, a five-year global advocacy initiative aiming to achieve policy changes that improve housing access in informal settlements. This campaign advocates for critical policy reforms, such as securing land tenure, improving access to basic services, and protecting residents from forced evictions. The exhibition will be utilized to showcase case studies and successful implementation practices from the campaign.
Additionally, the exhibition will host flash presentations from Habitat experts to educate and promote our innovative approaches to housing and shelter worldwide. These presentations will showcase projects we have implemented that address migration, support refugees, and tackle gender issues, all aimed at empowering communities. Our projects will also highlight global climate change challenges, featuring climate-resilient housing designed to withstand extreme weather events, and green infrastructure projects that promote sustainability.
Interactive activities will also be held in the exhibition to engage visitors and promote our call to action. Visitors will encounter inspiring stories of individuals and communities transformed by our solutions, showcasing how providing stable and affordable housing can enable families to focus on education, employment, and health, fostering long-term personal and community growth.
