Theme: How African Cities Will Benefit by Working with Urban Patterns

Following the success at WUF 11 in Katowice, "The Pattern Community" will bring its impactful exhibition to WUF 12 in Cairo. Collaborating with universities from Maputo, Mozambique, Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, and TUT Pretoria, the exhibition will highlight sustainable urban development practices tailored for the Global South, focusing on African cities.

Exhibition Components:

Poster Exhibition: "How to Work with Patterns in the Global South"
Featuring 9-12 posters detailing theoretical and practical approaches to applying urban patterns for sustainable environments. The setup includes a 9-18 m² display area, a discussion table, and space for informational materials.

Consultancy Table for Urban Planners and Mayors
A central table offering advice and information on urban challenges. Experts will provide tailored solutions, supported by a large table, informational materials, brochures, business cards, and a screen or laptop for digital content.

Special Guests for Critique of Urban Developments
High-profile experts, including Prof. Amira Osman, Laura Petrella, Dr. Michael Mehaffy, and Dr. Arch Samir Hadad, will critique urban development projects, promoting knowledge exchange and critical discussion.

Invitation of Local Schools and Universities
Engaging local schools and universities in discussions, presentations, and interactive sessions. The setup includes reserved spaces for presentations, interactive displays, workshops, and information desks.
