RESEARCH CENTER OF PARK CITY INDEX

Park city concept: Originating in China, the “park city” is a new model for urban transformation and development under the global sustainable development framework. Instead of merely focusing on urban parks and greening, its purpose is to integrate ecological values and environmental conservation into urban development, harmoniously integrating people, residential areas, the natural environment, and the socio-economic aspects. This approach aims to provide citizens with a higher quality of life that is characterized by a sense of accomplishment, happiness, and security.

Tianfu New Area introduction: Tianfu new area, a state-level new district located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, was established in 2014 and this year marks the 10th anniversary of its establishment. Tianfu new area is a comprehensive functional area that undertakes major national development and reform and opening up strategic tasks, adheres to the concept of sustainable development and high-quality development, and is a demonstration area of park city in China to practice the new development concept in the newly built land.

This exhibition will show the practice of park city construction in Tianfu new area, which mainly includes two parts: building a global park city cooperation platform and sharing the case of Park city construction by Research Center of Park City Index . To show people the effectiveness of Tianfu new area in building sustainable cities and communities, providing good well-being for citizens, improving urban resilience and living in harmony with nature, showing the practice of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the New Urban Agenda in Tianfu new area, and sharing the experience of building a park city in Tianfu new area with the world.
