Industrial Parks holds significant importance in advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Agenda, playing a pivotal role in creating decent job opportunities, reducing poverty, improving infrastructure, and practicing multilateral cooperation. In the process of promoting sustainable development in the Global South, industrial parks have played a pivotal role. Not only do the projects and platforms within the parks constitute integral components of the sustainable development in the Global South, but industrial parks can also drive the overall sustainable development in the Global South through various interconnected and radiating effects. The current Urban Expo event focuses on the topic of "Sustainable Industrialization and Urbanization Driven by Industrial Parks in the Global South." The event aims to jointly release three research reports, namely "Research on interactive Development and Planning of Special Economic Zones and Urbanization along the China-Laos-Thailand Economic Corridor", "Research on the Development and Planning of African Metropolitan Fringe Driven by industrial Park Development", and "Research on the Spatial Development and Planning of Port Cities in the Middle East Based on the relationship of Port-industry-City" to the global community through a combination of offline and online methods, in collaboration with scholars from Cairo University, Addis Ababa University, Palestine An-Najah National University and Chulalongkorn University. The event is aiming to deepen understanding and recognition of the role of industrial parks in promoting the sustainable development of industrialization and urbanization in the Global South, and promoting the stable and far-reaching achievement of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
