The "Resilient Urban Futures: Educational Innovations for Tackling Climate Change" exhibition is a showcase of creative educational design and cutting-edge scholarly research aimed at building cities resilient to the growing challenges of climate change. The exhibition highlights the innovative work through an interdisciplinary STEM-designated Master of Science in Urban Sustainability and Resilience program at the University of Miami. The exhibition will demonstrate how interdisciplinary academic programs can equip next-generation scholars and practitioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to shape sustainable and resilient communities for weathering climate change and urban challenges. It will reveal student-led research projects revealing the uneven impacts of climate change on diverse communities and data-driven approaches graduate students are learning to design strategies and pathways toward preserving critical ecosystems and fostering sustainable urban solutions. Resilient Urban Futures" will attract visitors to explore how universities can transform to meet the growing challenges of climate change's impact on cities, offering an inspiring vision for new-generation scholarships to shape thriving urban ecosystems even in the face of environmental change and economic uncertainty. Through immersive data-visualization experiences, interactive educational technologies, and real-world examples drawn from the City of Miami, this exhibition will demonstrate that resilient cities are not only possible but essential for our shared future.
