Amr Aljowaily
Ambassador Amr Aljowaily is and Egyptian diplomat, academic and writer with 34 years of professional experience. He currently holds the post of Assistant Foreign Minister for Multilateral Affairs and International Security.
As an international civil servant, he held the post of Strategic Advisor to the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa.
As an academic, he was visiting faculty at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Multilateral Diplomacy Program (2014-2024), and Diplo Academcy and Foundation (www.diplomacy.edu) (2007 to 2024), and previously at the American University in Cairo (AUC) including the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP), as well as Board Member of the Institute for Diplomatic Studies (1994-1996).
As an Egyptian diplomat, his postings included Belgrade, New York, Geneva and Washington, DC.
As a researcher, he published some of the earliest analytical works in Arabic on ICTs and International relations
