Bharat Dahiya
Bharat Dahiya, an award-winning urbanist and thought leader, combines applied research, policy analysis and development practice aimed at examining and tackling socio-economic, environmental and planning and governance issues in the global context of sustainable urban development. Working with the World Bank, UN-Habitat, and other international agencies, he has advised ministers, mayors, and governments on urban policy development and strategic guidance, and initiated, led and/or contributed to international development projects around the world. He conceptualized and led the preparation of UN-Habitat’s inaugural report on ‘The State of Asian Cities’. He has published a number of books and academic anthologies. He is Series Editor of the Springer Nature book series, ‘Advances in 21st Century Human Settlements’. Bharat helps policymakers, international organisations, knowledge institutions, businesses and communities in delivering sustainable solutions for people, prosperity and planet.
