Hector Becerril Miranda
Hector Becerril is Research Fellow at the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico. His current research focus on urban planning in the context of growing inequalities, climate change, and new technologies, with a special focus on urban peripheries and precarious settlements from a knowledge coproduction perspective. He has served as Principal Investigator of several research and advocacy projects funded by the Mexican government and internationals organizations, including the IDRC, and the United Kingdom research and Innovation (UKRI). Hector holds a PhD in Development Planning from The Bartlett, University College London (UCL). He also holds a MSc. in Town Planning from the French Institute of Urbanism (University of Paris), and a B. Arch. and M. Arch. from the National School of Architecture in Lyon. Hector has also worked as a consultant on urban planning, housing, and informal settlements, for internatonal organizations.
