 Mikaela Patrick leads research and delivery at the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub)’s Community Interest Company and serves as the thematic lead for inclusive design, cities, infrastructure, and climate resilience. She heads the UK Aid-funded AT2030 programme’s cluster on enabling environments for Assistive Technology, including the ‘Inclusive Infrastructure’ project, which builds an evidence base for inclusive urban design to create more accessible and resilient cities. Mikaela also oversees a workstream on climate-resilient infrastructure. She contributes to global reports, policy development, toolkits, academic papers, and guest lectures, and has organized events at COP26 and COP28. With a background in architecture, Mikaela has worked at the intersection of research, global health, inclusion, and development since 2013.
