Youssef Diab
Youssef Diab is a Professor of Urban Sustainable Planning and Engineering at the University Gustave Eiffel, specializing in resilient and sustainable cities, infrastructure management, and decision-making tools in urban contexts. He led the prospective research program PARIS 2030 for the City of Paris, focusing on urban resilience and climate adaptation strategies. At the Paris Graduate School of Urban Engineering (EIVP), he oversees prospective and development initiatives. Youssef leads major applied research projects on outdoor thermal comfort in Arab and Asian cities. He has authored over 150 peer-reviewed papers on urban sustainability and services management and edits a series of books on sustainable cities in French. Recently appointed as the Scientific Director of France’s ISSU National Program, he focuses on innovations and solutions for improving outdoor comfort in urban areas.
