Zahra Mohamed
Ms. Zahra Abdi Mohamed is a prominent expert in humanitarian aid, logistics, and development, with over 16 years of experience across Africa and the Middle East. She holds a Master’s in Humanitarian Logistics and Management, a Master’s in International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid, and a Postgraduate in Emergency Planning Management.
As Director of Poverty Reduction and Durable Solutions at Somalia’s Ministry of Planning, she leads strategies to address Somalia's displacement crisis and poverty among vulnerable groups. She chairs the National Durable Solutions Secretariat and Technical Working Group, driving national efforts to support IDPs and host communities.
Notably, she led the development of Somalia's first National Durable Solutions Strategy and the Solutions Pathways Action Plan, emphasizing development-focused solutions for long-term impact. Her work demonstrates a commitment to resilience, sustainable development, and tackling the roots of displacement and poverty.
