By showcasing successful approaches to accessing finance and implementing climate solutions, the session aims to inspire and equip participants with actionable insights to accelerate SDG delivery and build resilient communities throughout Africa.

Objectives

1. Examine the pivotal role of innovative financial mechanisms in enabling Sub-Saharan African local governments to implement ambitious climate action plans and advance Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular emphasis on enhancing access to finance and leveraging resources effectively.
2. Showcase successful case studies and best practices from cities across the continent, demonstrating how strategic financing approaches have been utilized to drive tangible progress in addressing climate change and achieving sustainable development objectives.
3.
