SDGs in Action
The road to sustainable urban development has been signposted by WUF since it was first held in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2002. Since the launch of the 2030 Agenda in 2015, each successive WUF has represented an opportunity to explore urban dimensions of the 168 targets in the Sustainable Development Goals to achieve sustainability, well-being, dignity, and resilience for all.
UN-Habitat is the steward of an approach to SDG Localization that facilitates and encourages multi-level collaboration across five domains: culture, economy, society, environment and governance. Translating these collaborations into action that is shareable, replicable and scalable is the objective of the SDGs in Action events at WUF13.
- Focus: to draw links between sustainable urbanization and the Sustainable Development Goals.
- Duration: 90 minutes.
- Online participation (this info shall be updated in the coming months).
