Delivering Territorial Impact - A One Un Integrated Approach in Sahelian contexts

This WUF13 side event explores how the Integrated Territorial Approach – Nexus (ATI‑Nexus) can shift responses to protracted crises and forced displacement in Sahelian contexts from fragmented humanitarian actions to coherent, long‑term territorial solutions. Through a multi‑country dialogue bringing together experiences from Cameroon, Chad, Burkina Faso, and Niger, the session highlights how planning, land management, housing, governance, and financing can be aligned at territorial scale to strengthen resilience and support both displaced populations and host communities.
Designed as a moderated roundtable with strong audience interaction, the event focuses on practical implementation, comparative lessons, and the conditions required to move from pilot projects to scalable territorial programmes. It targets policymakers, local authorities, development and humanitarian actors, and practitioners seeking concrete pathways to operationalize the humanitarian‑development‑peace nexus through territory‑based approaches.
