Summary

The three-hour training aims to equip city authorities with the knowledge and tools to overcome obstacles in securing climate finance. Participants will learn strategies to boost the technical and financial relevance of their projects, and foster partnerships crucial for successful climate initiatives. This training advances climate-resilience and low-carbon development by creating productive links between cities, project preparation facilities, and funders.

Objectives

1. Gain insights into the climate finance landscape, learning strategies to overcome funding barriers.
2. Improve the technical and financial feasibility of climate projects by increasing awareness and proficiency in practical tools and methodologies.
3. Develop skills to foster strategic partnerships and engage with funders, enhancing city representative’s ability to secure investment for climate initiatives.
