Summary

Join us for the grand launch of the Urban Vulnerability Atlas, an innovative web-tool developed under the RISE UP Flagship Programme at UN-Habitat. This event marks the culmination of 1.5 years of dedicated work and collaboration with key partners, showcasing a groundbreaking interactive platform designed to visualize hotspots of urban vulnerabilities and enhance urban resilience planning by integrating climate data, biodiversity metrics, urban growth patterns, and socio-economic variables.

This high-profile celebration will bring together donors, national and local policymakers, urban planners, and community leaders, offering a first-hand experience with the Atlas. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore its cutting-edge features, including dynamic maps, interactive charts, and StoryMaps from Honiara, Solomon Islands, and Debre Birhan, Ethiopia, all of which vividly illustrate the interconnectivity of urban vulnerabilities in real-time.

The event is designed to spotlight the Urban Vulnerability Atlas as a pivotal tool for strategic urban planning and climate finance access, especially in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS). We will also honour our partners who have contributed to this initiative, celebrating the collective achievements.

Engage with our platform, hear from distinguished speakers, and discover how the Atlas can drive evidence-based decision-making in urban development. Whether you’re a partner, policymaker, or practitioner, this is your chance to connect with others committed to building more resilient cities and communities worldwide.
